Dear DanfossXers,

When we were writing last week’s newsletter, the NB-IoT Hackathon was still in full progress. The teams still had an all-nighter of coding in front of them, before coding deadline on Saturday, 2pm
And the three winners are:
  • 1st Prize - Flexhub: an easy-to-use, flexible platform to connect any NB-IoT sensor and generate notifications that can be applied to cold storage and mold monitoring.
  • 2nd Prize - CYO2: incentivize supermarket customers to behave in an eco-friendly way through gamification of the cooling equipment with NB-IoT sensors.
  • 3rd Prize - JTeam: food safety and energy efficiency certification to reassure consumers about the quality and the ecological imprint of the cold products they buy in supermarkets
Special thanks to our DanfossX mentors Marwan, Andrei, Sini, Peter and Arpit for kicking off the challenges on Friday morning and in particular to Marwan and Andrei for being Jury members on Saturday afternoon!
For those who couldn’t be in Berlin for the Hackathon, you can watch the video of the team’s pitches here: Pitches Teams 1-7 , Pitches Teams 8-13.

Otherwise week n°10 was all about client visits and almost everyone was out installing prototypes or testing offers with customers and users. Thursday you did some great unpacking of all the learnings of the week, so that you know what you want to acheive next week - the last week before Demo Day!
And on Thursday evening, the core members of the winning team, Flexhub, came to the DanfossX Bootcamp on to explain their idea and discuss how it could be used by the DanfossX Teams.

Back to the present, it's Monday morning, which means there are 8 (work)days left until Demoday!
Your pals,
DanfossX Team

FAIR - fresh without sacrificing the environment
A "FAIR" certification that certifies that the product has been within a certain temperature and energy efficiency throughout the cold chain, and makes the information publicly available to consumers in the store.
Some highlights of the week in pictures
The winners of the NB-IoT Hack, FlexHub, came and visited us at the Place to pitch their prototype to the teams, explain some IoT basics, and discuss potential future collaboration with the DanfossX bootcampers.
Vivek came back to the Place on Tuesday, and this time he brought the Drives Supply Chain Leadership Team with him for an intense 2h-workshop.
Mould Experts, summarizing a super intensive and insight-heavy week after multiple customer visits.
